Leticia Hernandez from CASA was our speaker today . The volunteers at CASA are the heart of the agency whose goal is to help find permanency to children that have been removed from the home due to abuse or neglect. There is so much more to being a child advocate than just being a volunteer. CASA volunteers play a huge role in the life of a child and they help provide a home to our children. Last year we had over 5k children in San Antonio that came into the foster system.  CASA cases go from 12-18 months. CASA volunteers were able to make court recommendations, making it less difficult than these children being alone.
