Bulletin for Oct 23 2019
Oh, What a Night!

Oak Hills Rotary Club's 30th Anniversary Gold Raffle was held at MINI of San Antonio Wednesday evening, Oct 23. After months of preparation, selling 300 tickets, and gathering sponsors, the big day had finally arrived! Ken Ruiz proposed that since this would be our milestone 30th Gold Raffle that we do something drastically different this year.  He envisioned this year's drawing to be modeled after the ones that he helped organize at his old club in Westin Florida.  Our board gave its approval so we moved forward with the idea.  It was an awesome undertaking and SO MANY people pitched in. We have a ton of people to thank for making this evening a success!
Prayer, Pledge and Visitors
The meeting opened with the ringing of the bell by President Rick Tarbell. Ken Donoughue led us with a prayer and the pledge. Ken Ruiz acted as our Master of Ceremonies. Fred Timmons announced the numbers as they were drawn. Many people were enlisted to help with the drawing. On hand we had greeters, sommeliers, raffle drawing overseers, a Clark Interact Club member, visiting Rotarians, MINI Cooper shoppers, future Myron's Steakhouse diners and many all around goodwill ambassadors! Some of our guests included former DG Kathy Hubbard, Foundation Chair Jerry Hardy and the Kendall Robotics Club. The members of the Robotics Club helped with the drawing and clean up after the event. Here are just a few of the pictures taken - enjoy!
